Learn how to open cPanel directly from the client area. In cPanel, you manage your hosting plan’s features, such as websites, files, databases and email accounts.
Who is this guide for?
This guide applies exclusively to customers whose hosting with cPanel is managed on the new Webland platform (WHMCS).
Do you use Essential Hosting without cPanel? Manage your hosting directly in the client area and follow the Essential Hosting guides.
Do you use the System Configurator or Domain Manager? Sign in at classic.webland.ch. The steps below do not apply to the classic Webland platform.
Requirements
You have an active hosting service with cPanel on the new Webland platform.
You are signed in to the client area.
Your user has the required permissions to access the hosting service.
1. Find your hosting service
Open the home page (dashboard) of the client area.
Find the hosting plan you want to access in the active services overview. If you have several hosting plans, check the associated domain to select the correct service.
2. Sign in to cPanel
Click Log in to cPanel next to the relevant hosting service.
You will be redirected to cPanel through automatic sign-in. You normally do not need to enter a separate cPanel username or password.
3. Manage your hosting in cPanel
Once signed in, you can use the features available with your plan. These may include:
Managing websites and domains
Managing files and FTP accounts
Creating and managing databases
Managing email accounts
Installing and managing WordPress
Select the appropriate section in cPanel for your task.
Frequently asked questions and troubleshooting
I cannot find the “Log in to cPanel” button.
Check that you have selected the correct hosting plan and that it uses cPanel. Also check that the service is active and your user has the required access permissions.
If you use Essential Hosting, management takes place directly in the client area. These plans do not have a cPanel sign-in option.
Automatic sign-in is not working.
Sign out of the client area, then sign in again. Try opening cPanel through Log in to
cPanel once more.
If the problem continues, contact our support team. Include the affected domain and the error message displayed.
My hosting service is not listed.
Check that you are signed in to the correct client account. Open Services in the main menu to view the hosting plans associated with your account.
If you manage your hosting through the System Configurator or Domain Manager, sign in at classic.webland.ch.
