Who is this guide for?
This guide applies exclusively to customers whose hosting is managed on the new
Webland platform (WHMCS).
Do you use the System Configurator or Domain Manager? Your hosting is managed on the classic Webland platform. Sign in at classic.webland.ch. The steps below do not apply to that platform.
The relevant platform depends on where your hosting is managed, regardless of how long you have been a Webland customer.
Requirements
Your hosting is managed on the new Webland platform (WHMCS).
You are signed in to the client area on that platform with your personal user login.
1. Open the account menu
Click your name in the top-right corner of the client area.
The account menu includes Account Security, Change Password and Security Settings. Your permissions determine which account-level options you can use.
2. Select the relevant security option
Account Security
Manage the available security options for the client account, such as Single Sign-On (SSO) settings.
Change Password
Change the password for your personal user login to the client area. Complete the fields shown and save the change.
Use a long, unique password that you do not use for any other service.
Security Settings
Manage two-factor authentication (2FA) for your personal user login. Open this section and follow the on-screen setup instructions.
With 2FA, you confirm your sign-in using a second factor in addition to your password, such as a code from an authenticator app.
We recommend enabling 2FA. Each user sets up this protection for their own login. Enabling it for your user does not automatically protect the logins of other users linked to your client account.
Frequently asked questions and troubleshooting
I have forgotten my password.
Use the password reset option on the sign-in page of the new Webland platform.
If you use the System Configurator or Domain Manager, go to classic.webland.ch instead.
I cannot find two-factor authentication.
Open the menu under your name and select Security Settings. If no option to set up 2FA is displayed, contact our support team.
I cannot find an account-level security option.
Your user may not have the required permissions. Contact the account owner or our support team.
