Learn how to invite additional users to your client account and control which sections and features they can access.
Who is this guide for?
This guide applies exclusively to customers whose hosting is managed on the new Webland platform (WHMCS).
Do you use the System Configurator or Domain Manager? Your hosting is managed on the classic Webland platform. Sign in at classic.webland.ch. The steps below do not apply to that platform.
The relevant platform depends on where your hosting is managed, regardless of how long you have been a Webland customer.
Requirements
Your hosting is managed on the new Webland platform (WHMCS).
You are signed in to the client area on that platform.
You are signed in as the account owner of the relevant client account. Only the account owner can invite users and manage their permissions there.
1. Open user management
Click your name in the top-right corner of the client area.
Select User Management.
Here, you can view the users linked to your client account and manage their permissions.
The account owner always has full access to the client account.
2. Invite a new user
Go to the Invite New User section.
Enter the email address of the person who needs access.
Select the required permissions.
Click Send Invite.
The invited person receives an email and must accept the invitation using the link it contains.
If they already have a user login on the new Webland platform, they can sign in with their existing credentials during this process. Otherwise, they can create a user login as part of accepting the invitation.
Access to your client account is only granted once the invitation has been accepted. Credentials for the System Configurator or Domain Manager do not constitute a user login for the new platform.
3. Set or change permissions
Permissions determine which sections and features a user can access within your client account. These include:
Services
Domains
Billing
Support requests
Account details
To change an existing user’s permissions:
Open User Management.
Click Manage Permissions next to the relevant user.
Select the required permissions or remove permissions that are no longer needed.
Save your changes.
Only grant the permissions each person needs for their tasks.
Frequently asked questions and troubleshooting
I cannot invite new users or change permissions.
Check that you are signed in as the account owner. An invited user cannot manage other users, even if they have been granted extensive permissions.
If you are the account owner and still cannot access user management, contact our support team.
The invited person has not received an email.
Check the email address you entered for typing errors. Ask the person to check their spam or junk folder as well. If the invitation is still missing, contact our support team.
The user can sign in but cannot access certain sections.
Open User Management and check that the required permissions are enabled for that user.
I cannot find user management.
Open the menu under your name in the top-right corner and select User Management. Make sure you are signed in as the account owner.
If you use the System Configurator or Domain Manager, manage your account at classic.webland.ch. The menu navigation described in this guide does not apply there.
