Is your mailbox full, or do you need more storage space for your emails? This guide explains how to adjust your mailbox size directly through the System Configurator on the previous Webland platform (Classic).
Who is this guide for?
This guide applies exclusively to customers who manage their email accounts through the System Configurator on the previous Webland platform (Classic).
You can access it at classic.webland.ch.
Are you already using the new Webland platform (WHMCS)? Then log in via the new Webland website. The following steps do not apply to the new platform.
What Does Mailbox Size Mean?
Mailbox size refers to the storage space allocated to your email account.
This storage is used for content such as:
Received emails
Sent messages
Email attachments
Messages stored in your email folders
If your allocated storage space is completely full, new incoming emails may no longer be delivered.
The System Configurator allows you to check how much storage has been allocated to your mailbox and how much storage is still available.
Requirements
To change your mailbox size, the following requirements must be met:
You have an active hosting subscription on the previous Webland platform (Classic).
You know your customer number and customer password.
You have access to the management section of the relevant email account.
Sufficient free email storage space is available within your hosting account.
Note: The maximum mailbox size depends on the available storage space and the features of your hosting plan.

What If I Need More Storage Space?
If the available storage space within your hosting account is insufficient, you can consider additional storage options through a CloudOffice account.
Available CloudOffice Options
CloudOffice Plan | Storage Space |
CloudOffice Personal | 25 GB |
CloudOffice Team | 50 GB |
CloudOffice Team Pro | 1 TB |
In addition to increased storage capacity, CloudOffice provides further email and collaboration features.
For more information, please refer to the CloudOffice Accounts help article.
Note: The listed storage capacities refer to the respective CloudOffice plans. Availability and conditions depend on the selected offer.
Important Notes
Available storage: You can only allocate storage space that is available within your hosting account.
Multiple mailboxes: If multiple email accounts share the same storage pool, allocating space to one account affects the remaining capacity available to others.
Full mailbox: If your mailbox is completely full, new incoming emails may no longer be delivered.
Freeing up storage: Unnecessary emails and large attachments may occupy significant storage space.
CloudOffice: If your hosting account does not provide sufficient storage, you can explore the available CloudOffice options.
Frequently Asked Questions and Troubleshooting
Where can I change my mailbox size?
Log in to the System Configurator and navigate to:
Hosting / Manage Email → Email / CloudOffice → Email / CloudOffice Accounts
Expand the desired email account using the arrow and adjust the storage allocation under Mailbox Size.
Can I increase my mailbox size myself?
Yes, provided sufficient free storage space is available within your hosting account.
Why can't I move the slider further to the right?
The available storage space within your hosting account may already be fully allocated, or the maximum mailbox size may have been reached.
What happens when my mailbox is full?
If your mailbox has no remaining storage space, new incoming emails may no longer be delivered.
You should either allocate additional storage or remove messages you no longer need.
Will increasing my mailbox size delete my existing emails?
No. Increasing the allocated storage space does not delete your existing emails.
How can I get additional storage space?
If your hosting account does not provide enough storage, you can consider a suitable CloudOffice plan.
Tip
Regularly check the storage usage of your email accounts and delete messages you no longer need.
Pay particular attention to large attachments and messages stored in the Sent, Trash and Spam folders.
Done! You now know how to adjust your mailbox size on the previous Webland platform and which options are available if you need additional storage space.
