Emails via script

Which SMTP server may be used for sending emails via script?

Updated over a week ago

If you want to send emails from your web applications or forms, Webland provides a dedicated SMTP server. To ensure reliable delivery, a few prerequisites must be met.

Which SMTP server should you use?

For sending emails from scripts or web applications, please use exclusively the following server:

  • SMTP Server: msscript1.webland.ch

  • In the application enter: msscript1 (without domain name!)

Requirements for Sending Emails

To ensure emails are delivered correctly, at least one of the following conditions must be met:

  • Option 1: The sender address (From) is a valid Webland email address or alias.

  • Option 2: The recipient address (To) is a valid Webland email address or alias.

If this is not possible (e.g. if you operate your own mail server), you must whitelist your sender address.

Add Your Own Sender Address to the Whitelist

Here’s how to add your sender address to the whitelist in the System Configurator:

  1. Log in to the System Configurator.

  2. Go to Webserver > Email Sending via App.

  3. Add the desired sender address to the whitelist.

After this configuration, emails sent with your sender address will no longer be blocked.
