Domain Manager: Transfer a Domain to Another Registrar

How can I transfer my domain from Webland to another registrar?

This article explains how to request the transfer of a domain registered with Webland to another registrar and how to obtain the required transfer code (Auth-Code).

Who is this guide for?

This guide applies exclusively to customers who manage their domains through the Domain Manager on the previous Webland platform (Classic).

You can access the platform at classic.webland.ch.

Are you already using the new Webland platform (WHMCS)? Please log in through the new Webland website. The following steps do not apply to the new platform.

Do I need to change my registrar?

Changing your registrar is not always necessary.

If you want to keep your domain registered with Webland and only use the nameservers of another provider, you can update them directly in the Domain Manager.

A domain transfer is not required for this.

If you would still like to transfer your domain to another registrar, you can request the necessary transfer code from us.

Requirements

  • Your domain is registered with Webland.

  • You have the domain owner's login credentials for the previous Domain Manager.

  • There are no outstanding invoices for the domain.

  • Your registered contact email address is up to date and accessible.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log in to the Domain Manager

Open the Domain Manager and log in using the domain owner's credentials.

2. Submit a transfer request

After logging in, select Send Message (Nachricht senden) from the menu.

In your message, specify which domain or domains you would like to transfer to another registrar.

Make sure to include the full domain names so that we can clearly identify your request.

Then click Send Message (Nachricht senden) to submit your request to Webland.

3. Verification by Webland

Once we receive your message, we will review the requested domains.

Important: The transfer code can only be issued if there are no outstanding invoices for the domains concerned.

4. Receive your transfer code

After successful verification, we will send the transfer code (Auth-Code) to the contact email address registered in the Domain Manager.

You can use this code to initiate the domain transfer with your new registrar.

Forgotten your login credentials?

If you no longer have your Contact ID or the domain owner's password, you can use the corresponding recovery options on the Domain Manager login page.

Good to Know

  • Changing your registrar is not necessary if you only want to update your domain's nameservers.

  • The transfer code will be sent to your registered contact email address.

  • Make sure there are no outstanding invoices for the domain.

  • The actual domain transfer must be initiated through your new registrar.

Note: Requesting a transfer code does not automatically transfer your domain. The transfer must be initiated with your new registrar.
