1. Access backups via FTP
You can retrieve your backups anytime directly via FTP.
Here’s how to do it:
Connect via FTP
Use the FTP login credentials of your hosting.Navigate to the root directory
Open the folder _backups.Select backup
The backups are named with the creation date, e.g.
www_backup_2025.02.01.Download backup
Download the desired backup to your computer.Restore data
Transfer the required files via FTP back into the desired target directory.
2. Restoration by our support team (subject to a fee)
If you don’t want to carry out the restoration yourself, our support team will be happy to do it for you.
Cost: CHF 180.– per hour (estimated effort: approx. 30 minutes).
How to request this from us:
Log in to the System Configurator.
Select Customer Account.
Click on Send authenticated message.
Provide us with:
the desired backup date,
or specify whether certain files or the entire web directory should be restored.
3. Information about backups
To know which backups are available:
Daily: at least 6 daily backups
Weekly: 1 backup per week
The backup files are always named with the creation date, e.g.
www_backup_2025.02.01.
