Step-by-Step Migration Guide
1. Send an Authenticated Message
If you would like a migration, please confirm this by sending us an authenticated message in the System Configurator.
Here’s how:
a) Log in to the System Configurator with your customer number and password.
b) Select the menu item Customer Account.
c) Click on Send Authenticated Message.
d) Tell us whether you would like to migrate your existing web data or set up a completely new empty hosting.
2. Create New Hosting
In parallel to your existing hosting, we will set up a new hosting on our other server platform.
3. Transfer Web Data
You can upload your web data to the new server via FTP (using Realtime Host).
If you would like us to transfer the data for you, simply mention this directly in your authenticated message.
4. Test Website
As soon as your data is on the new server, you can test your site via the Realtime Host.
5. Adjust DNS Entries
Once everything works properly, update your DNS zone.
This ensures that your DNS records point to your new hosting.
6. Deactivate Old Hosting
After the successful migration, your old web hosting will be deactivated.
That’s it – your migration is complete: easy, secure, and free of charge.
