How can activate an SSL Certificate for my Website?

With an SSL certificate, you secure the connection to your website and offer your visitors more protection.
Here you will learn how to issue a free SSL certificate in your Webland account in just a few steps and activate the HTTPS redirection.

Step-by-step guide

1. Log in
Log in to the System Configurator with your customer number and your customer password.

2. Manage domain

  • Select the menu Hosting / Manage e-mail.

  • Click on Manage for the desired domain.

3. Manage SSL/TLS certificates
Navigate to the menu item SSL / TLS Certificates.

4. Issue SSL certificate

  • In the section Non-issued SSL certificates, you will see your domains.

  • Check if the requirements are met (green checkmark).

  • Click on Issue certificate(s).

5. Activate HTTPS redirection (Force SSL)

  • In the section Issued SSL certificates, you will find your domains.

  • Tick Force SSL so that all visitors are automatically redirected to the HTTPS version.

  • Save the change by clicking on Save.




Common Problems & Solutions

  • Requirements not met:
    Make sure that your domain is registered with Webland or that an A record points to the Webland IP.

  • Certificate not issued:
    Wait up to 30 minutes and then refresh the page.

Done – your website is now SSL encrypted and automatically accessible via HTTPS.
