Spam and Virus Protection at Webland

What does Webland do to combat spam and viruses?

​To ensure you are best protected against unwanted e-mails, Webland uses powerful virus and spam filters directly on the server side. These detect and block harmful or annoying messages before they even reach your inbox.

Virus Protection

  • The antivirus software is updated daily.

  • Every 60 minutes, it checks for new emergency updates.

  • Antivirus protection is enabled by default for all accounts.

Spam Protection

Our spam engine combines several protection mechanisms (Greylisting, SpamAssassin, Cyren Anti-Spam Live, Intrusion Prevention, SURBL, etc.).
It is continuously updated, and you can choose between different spam detection levels.

Activate Spam Folder in WebAccess

Here’s how to enable the anti-spam function directly in WebAccess:

  1. Log in to WebAccess with your e-mail account and password.

  2. In the top right, click on your profile/passport symbol and go to Settings.

  3. In the menu, go to General → Anti-Spam.

  4. Activate the Anti-Spam function.

  5. Set the mode to Use Spam Folder.

  6. Confirm the change with OK.

Adjust Spam Level & Enable Greylisting

  1. Log in to the System Configurator with your customer number and password.

  2. Select Hosting / E-Mail Management and click Manage for the desired domain.

  3. Go to E-Mail / CloudOffice → Anti-Spam Settings.

Blacklist & Whitelist

  • Blacklist: Block sender → mails from this sender will never reach your inbox.

  • Whitelist: Allow sender → mails from this sender will always be delivered.

How it works:

  1. Log in to WebAccess with your account.

  2. Select the corresponding mail.

  3. Right-click → Manage sender → Add sender to Blacklist or Add sender to Whitelist.

Create Your Own Rules

You can further customize the spam filter by setting up your own rules (e.g. filter by subject, content, or sender):

  1. Log in to WebAccess with your account.

  2. Go to Settings → E-Mail → Rules.

  3. Create your own individual rules.
